I look back at the year 2011 and with so much pride of what has been achieved. I made a decision to take on more responsibility as an artist and grow by taking leaps of faith. I knew it was never going to be an easy road by following my dreams and aligning myself to vision rather than just paint and sell. It would be sacrifice on my part and with much needed support from many of you that have found time to check out this website, place coments, share it on twitter and facebook and also placing an order. Sending in advice and offering free consultancy has been spectacular. Will spare you all the background info especially with much available on here with every page. The Jury is obviousl still out on how much effort has been put in to live upto what Ludigocreations is all about.
What has been learnt? That i could be the leader and the brain behind what we are doing, how we sell it, and more so when to spend and what to spend on. This does not entirely mean that am knowledgable about everyone of these sensitive responsibilities. It calls for teamwork and mobilisation.Through continued sharing the vision is what it will take for this social enterprise to become a formidable entity in fulfilling its potential. Goal for this; looking out for creative yet well driven individuals and with willingness to learn and share their knowledge in regards to making strategic planning.I have a craving to continue producing high quality work from drawings, paintings and printmakes as well as reaching out to young people to inspire them using the arts. I can only do it at another level acceptable enough once individuals in this category comes on board to be an administrator. If there is any one out there. Or if you have anyone passionate about social enterprise and the arts please forward them our details. Where are we right now? We are at a stable position capable of paying the bills and material for new art works. We are not capable enough to reach out in comunity as per our core vallues due to financial constraints being our first year in business at this level. The Studio/gallery has given us local and international exposure but requires more experienced personel in selling it out to ensure growth and stability in every investment made. Achievements; Despite financial constraints nationally and internationally and with soring inflations Ludigo Creations Studio/gallery has managed to float in such a not so good circumstances. We have learnt so much, enough to remain optimistic. We have formed short term partnerships that remain the benchmark of how bigger ones can be achieved. We managed to get an intern from the Biggest University in Uganda in our first year and he trully excelled too. We have managed to showcase our work in three separate events with one being at the American Embassy. We represent two impressive artists too who have managed to add much needed presence and sales too. We have also managed to work on two new products that and launch one with the other to be launched next year. we have still reached out to the community with Kampala kids club. Picture and photo Framing have been major in making the local image blossom regardless of national tragedies in form of riots and demostrations. We have still managed to retain an international presence with products especially cards and paintings selling mostly in Australia, America and Hong Kong. I have also managed to travel to Hong Kong as a continued strategy in looking out for new contacts and ideas. In this it can only be stablished how much comes of this trip come next Month. A great thank you to everyone associated to Ludigo creations in every way. Not forgetting the great buddies i have to work with day in and day out. Reagan, Shai, Polo, Hamza and support from Moses, Amos and every single friend. And how can i forget my international mates, Heather and the rest of the Brookes. Rebecca Plumb and her family Joane Lam goodness the list is endless. We are blessed to have so many folowing our every step. We celebrate a year knowing that all was possble by God's grace and you for such kindness and faith in all we do. May God richly bless you this Christmas and even propell you to new hieghts the coming ye
